Biography

I am a Board-Certified Toxicologist with over 25 years’ experience in the testing and assessment of chemicals, pharmaceuticals, feed additives, cosmetics and biocides.  My expertise is based on 10 years practical experience as a Study Director in a commercial organisation conducting OECD and ICH compliant studies, followed by over 20 years in consultancy advising clients on regulatory requirements and preparing regulatory documents for submission in Europe (ECHA, EFSA, EMA) and the US (FDA, EPA).  In particular, I have a sound understanding of non-clinical requirements for chemicals and pharmaceuticals and have used GLP studies, literature, and read-across to complete human safety and risk assessments. I have served on the Education committee for the British Toxicology Society, the panel for the UK Register of Toxicologists and I am currently serving on the the Advisory Committee on Animal Feedingstuffs at the UK Food Standards Agency.
