Professor Matthew Fisher is an infectious disease epidemiologist with >25 years of experience in the field. He leads a research group in the Imperial College School of Public Health in the Medical Research Council for Global Infectious Disease Outbreak Analysis - GIDA - that focus on genomics methods for understanding microbial species. With a long-standing interest in fungal pathogens and antimicrobial resistance, Matthew holds a fellowship in the Canadian CIFAR Fungal Kingdoms program. He is also the co-director of the Georgina Mace Centre for the Living Planet at Imperial College London. Matthew has been a clarivate 'Highly Cited' Scholar since 2019.
